1. Scope

Mining Insider provides source-backed U.S. mining, critical-minerals, permitting, safety, market, project, and company intelligence.

2. Public access, accounts, and preferences

Regular readers can use the core app without creating an account. If a reader signs in, Mining Insider processes the email address, login provider, authentication identifiers, session information, and synchronized company, project, and commodity watchlists needed to provide the account. Watchlist selections may also remain stored locally for offline access. We do not use account or watchlist information to create an advertising profile.

3. Information processed to deliver the service

The app connects to Mining Insider services and third-party infrastructure to retrieve briefs, audio, video, market data, maps, filings, and official source records. Those services may process technical information needed to deliver and secure a network request, including IP address, device and operating-system information, app version, request time, and pseudonymous session or billing identifiers. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

4. Beta access requests

When you request beta access, Mining Insider stores the email address and platform selection you provide. We use this information to enroll you in the appropriate Apple TestFlight or Google Play testing program and to send essential beta-access updates. Beta request records are not public and are not used for advertising.

5. Maps and location

Mining Insider uses Mapbox to display published locations of mines, projects, permits, and regulatory signals. The app does not request permission to access the device's location. When maps load, Mapbox may process de-identified usage, interaction, performance, diagnostic, and pseudonymous identifier information for app functionality and analytics.

6. Authentication and administrator tools

Supabase processes email/password authentication and sign-in sessions. When a reader chooses Google or Apple sign-in, that provider processes the request under its own privacy terms and shares the account identifiers needed to sign in. Authorized editors can access protected administrator tools, upload briefing media, and publish intelligence records.

7. Artificial intelligence

Mining Insider uses artificial intelligence in an editor-controlled publishing workflow. Brief summaries, scripts, and other published intelligence are generated or assisted at the administrator level, reviewed, stored, and then delivered to readers. Regular readers do not send personal prompts to an AI model simply by opening a published brief.

8. Source links and external services

The app links to government agencies, public-company filings, news publishers, and other source websites. When a reader opens an external source, that service applies its own privacy practices.

9. Retention, deletion, and security

Published intelligence and source metadata are retained as part of the Mining Insider archive. Account information and operational logs are retained only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and comply with legal obligations for the service. A signed-in reader can permanently delete their account from the Account screen. A public deletion path is available at mininginsider.net/delete-account. We use encrypted network connections and access controls, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Mining Insider is a professional information service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version.
